昔5人の英雄がいて、魔王を倒し、その魂を5つに分けて聖石に封じた。その勇者たちはマギヴァル大陸にそれぞれ国を造った。これはその英雄の子孫たちの話である。主人公は双子のエフラムとエイリークである。2人の幼なじみのリオンがリオンの国に安置してあった聖石から魔王を解き放ってしまったところからストーリーは始まった。
